What would you say if we told you there was a sci-fi/action Nigerian film in the works? Well, that is factual as Dimeji Ajibola’s “Ratnik” is going to hit theatres soon.
“Ratnik” is a futuristic story about the epic battle between advanced technology and traditional worship. Undoubtedly, it is a film unlike any Nollywood has ever seen.
In recent years, there has been a shift in the genres that Nollywood considers worth exploring. It is as though the Nigerian film industry realises it cannot survive and grow only on drama and romance films.
Iron Man meets Oganigwe in this epic tale. In “Ratnik”, we get to see members from the side of technology and spirituality engage in several fights. In the trailer’s most interesting moment, Adunni Ade’s character calls on the spirits to help her fight a robotic soldier.
Meanwhile, the story and cast are pretty impressive. “Ratnik” features Bolanle Ninalowo, Osas Ighodaro, Meg Otanwa, Karibi Fubara and more. We cannot wait for the journey Dimeji Ajibola is about to take us on in this highly-anticipated film.
“Ratnik” will hit cinemas in November, and we are so here for it.
