Valentine’s day may be the perfect time to examine your relationship. Valentine’s day will come and go, but if your relationship isn’t blossoming, it may give you a reason to question yourself if the celebration is even worth it. You may have been dating your partner for months or years and maybe you feel stagnated as though the relationship isn’t going anywhere. Even though we cannot tell you to break up with your partner, we can expose you to five types of lovers you shouldn’t be with on valentine’s day.

1.The inconsistent lover

This partner shows symptoms or attributes of seasonal dating disorder (SDD). They can be loving today and ghost you the next day. There is always have an excuse not to be available. They always leave you guessing what went wrong in your relationship. This valentine, don’t allow the inconsistent lover to bother you. If they are not matured enough to stay in your life, then you can show them the way out.

2. The lying partner

If your partner has a problem with saying the truth then you should start asking questions as to where your relationship is going. Lying is one of the reasons why there are trust issues in relationships. What’s worst, if you are a compulsive liar, you wouldn’t be able to garner any respect from your partner ever. So are you coping with a lying partner? at this stage of your relationship, have you lost respect for your partner because they have been lying to you? now is the time to think thoroughly.

3. The cheating partner

This partner has no self-control and has not disciplined him or herself to stay in an exclusive relationship. Maybe they cheated in the past and you forgave them. However, you sense that they are cheating now then there is no need to be celebrating valentine’s day.

4. The stingy lover

Who doesn’t love a generous partner?. When it comes to generosity, it is not limited to the male gender, neither should it be one-sided in a relationship. If you find yourself always giving and your partner is not reciprocating, then it’s time to decide if you want to remain with them or move on.

5. The selfish partner

It’s fine to always look out for yourself and want the best out of your life, but you need to realize that as you get into a relationship your partner also matters. Your decisions and choices also have a way of affecting them. If you are dating a person who doesn’t care about how their decisions affect you negatively, then you should have a rethink about your relationship. Also, if your partner does not support your dream, goals, or aspirations then you should be examining where you stand in your relationship and not thinking of a valentine’s day gift because your happiness is what matters most.

So while you think of the perfect birthday gift or the nice dinner outing with your boo, ask yourself “Is this relationship really worth it?
