Samsung is holding its Galaxy Unpacked event on 5th August 2020 where it will launch the Samsung Galaxy Watch 3. And we can already get a glimpse of what the watch offers from its app in the Play Store.

According to XDA Developers, the app shows new watch features like hand gestures to silence alarms, take a picture, or answer an incoming call.

With the Samsung Galaxy Watch 3, clenching and unclenching your fist can answer a phone call. You just need to clench your fist and then unclench, when a call comes in and the watch will answer the call.

Taking screenshots has also been modified with the Samsung Galaxy Watch 3. In older watches, you would have to hold the bottom button and swipe left at the same time to take a screenshot. Now, you just have to press both side buttons at the same time to take a screenshot.

Samsung is also adding a fall detection feature to the Galaxy Watch 3. The fall detection will work similarly to the current SOS mode. When the watch detects a fall, it will ring for 60 seconds. If it doesn’t get a response, it will text your location and a 5-second sound recording to your emergency contacts.

You also have the option of entering your own emergency contacts with the option of placing an SOS call if you fall.
