Nigerian fashion is not left out. Some of the fashion trends from the 80’ties and 90’ties have made their way to our fashion age.

Agbada
Traditional wear of Yorubas, Agbadas has transcended centuries and remains one fashion trend continues to reinvent itself. Frankly, we do think this trend will be around till the end of time.
Mom Jeans
Straight out of the ’90s, the Mom jeans are rigid, tapered leg and retro high-waisted denim pants. They recently made their way back into the scenes, an edgy uber-fashion style for ladies.

Threaded Protective Hairdo
Some of us can remember our mothers and aunties in this hairstyle. Even, we wore these hairstyle ourselves to school. Made from rubber or woollen threads, this protective style was a favourite of many stylish women decades before.
This Nigerian retro style made a strong comeback years back and has remained in the scenes. Nigerian artiste Tiwa Savage channelled this hairstyle in her recent hit song video 49-99. She said she meant to evoke feelings of nostalgia with the hairstyle choice.
Pallazo pants
This is another Nigerian retro style made a re-entry into the fashion scene some 3 years back and it seems they’ve come to stay. Pallazo was a favourite of the seventies and eighties era and now its a style choice of many fashionable women.
