A few weeks ago, Phyno finally released his third studio album, “Deal With It” — a fantastic, star-studded body of work. With no time to waste, Phyno has now released a music video for one of the project’s standout tracks, “Ride For You” featuring Davido.
“Ride For You” sees both Phyno and Davido wearing their hearts on their sleeves, alternating between Igbo and English with lyrics affirming their lovers that they will ride for them. Davido, who has been the industry’s biggest lover boy since “Assurance”, expectedly shines.
For the accompanying video, Davido and Phyno serenade their lovers, while giving them a taste of the good life they’re singing about. The video alternates scenes from a white mansion to a rural beachfront. At both locations, the pair treat their lovers to nice meals, flashy cars and more, as a token of their love.
Davido seems to be using this Phyno song as a love message to Chioma. He can be heard not-so-subtly hinting at her by saying, “She sabi cook, she sabi do. I never meet anyone like you”. Pretty romantic, don’t you think?
