Rumour has it that Davido might be making his debut in a Hollywood film. The “Blow My Mind” singer has apparently secured a cameo role in the sequel of “Coming 2 America”.
A few weeks back, entertainment blogs revealed that Nigerian-American actor and singer, Rotimi will star in the “Coming To America” sequel. However, now, it appears he might not be the only Nigerian musician in “Coming 2 America”.
Being summoned for a cameo in a high-profile film is the mark of a truly successful artist. With his global hits, Davido seems to be breaking out rather successfully into the foreign market. It comes as no shock if the production team actually sought him out for this big-budget feature.

According to a comedian, Michael Blackson, Davido will appear in the film as himself, in a performance scene. Unfortunately, the Nigerian superstar has not responded in support of Blackson’s claims. Also, IMDb has not included Davido on the cast list. So far, no one has confirmed anything.
Hopefully, the rumours are true, because the infamous comedy is right up Davido’s alley, and Davido is so good at playing Davido. We certainly look forward to Davido’s entry into Hollywood. We also hope to hear him shouting a few shekpes on the big screen next year.
