Instead, the company is making fifty percent of its fleet as hybrids and the other as fossil fuel-powered. To cement their fleet partial electrifying claim, Nissan unveiled some of its Electric vehicle concepts, this includes a roomy SUV, pick truck and a sleek sports car.

Nissan names the roomy SUV as the Chill-out, the pickup truck as Surf-Out and the sleek sports car as Max-Out. There’s also another crossover called the Hang-Out.

Chill Out

There are no specifications yet about these new vehicles, but they have minimalistic and techy features. The nearest to production it seems is the roomy SUV “Chill-Out.”This SUV looks smaller than the Nissan Ariya which retails for $47,000.

Max Out: An Exquisite Sports Car

The sporty Max-Out has a coupe design with an emphasis on speed and performance. Probably will be the most expensive of the lot and it will include premium dynamic cornering according to Nissan.

While the Surf-Out has a softer look with minimal looking interiors and loads of cargo space. Nissan says that this pickup concept will be off-road capable with an inbuilt generator.

The Nisan Surf Out

In 2030, Nissan promises to have around 23 new electric models 15 of which will be fully electric. Impressively, the car company says it is actively going to use the latest car battery technology “all-solid-state batteries (ASSB)” by 2028.

What are solid-state batteries? These are the next-gen batteries still in research and development for powering electric vehicles. They supposedly will charge fast, last longer and hold more energy than the currently used lithium-ion batteries.

Nissan will be banking on its experience on one of the earliest adaptors of electric vehicles. Its Nissan Leaf has been in production for over 8 years, clearly a fan favourite.
