Apple is hoping that demand for its devices will not be affected by the coronavirus pandemic. The company expects to ship between about 80 million 5G iPhones in 2020 even after delaying its launch till October.

According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman and Debby Wu, here’s what to expect as per announcements this year from Apple;

— Four new iPhones with OLED screens. They are to ship in 5.4, 6.1, or 6.7 inches screens. The 6.1-inch size will have an option for both the steel “Pro” line up and a lower-end aluminum equivalent to the iPhone 11. The iPhones will reportedly have a new design with square edges. The aluminum model is expected to ship first followed by the steel Pro models and a new dark blue color option will replace the green 11 Pro.

— A new iPad Air model, that will have slim bezels. This lends credence to the images appearing recently on Twitter of a pamphlet for a new iPad Air, featuring slim bezels, and a Touch ID fingerprint sensor on the power button.

— Two new Apple Watches. A successor to the Series 5, and a lower-end Series 3 replacement.

— Apple over-ear headphones.

— All phones are expected to ship with 5G technology. However, there is to be some difference in the precise technology. Bloomberg also suggests that the 6.7-inch Pro iPhone may be the only model to get the LIDAR scanner that debuted in this year’s iPad Pro.

— According to reports, iOS 14 should be available in September 2020, in spite of the delayed iPhone releases.

Bloomberg also says that Apple is working on a new TV with an updated processor and new remote control, however, it might not be released in 2020, unlike the iPhones.
