Redmi is Xiaomi’s most popular smartphone and it has sold millions of units around the world. The brand announced it will hold an online-only reveal in India for its Redmi Note 9 pro on 12th March 2020.

However, teenage tipster, Ishan Agarwal already posted some key specs of the Redmi Note 9 on his twitter handle. According to Agarwal, the Redmi’s Note 9 pro will come with a 6.67″ LCD display of FHD+ resolution and a 20:9 aspect ratio.

He confirms that it will have a 16MP selfie camera. While on the back, it will feature a 48MP main lens, an 8MP ultrawide camera, a 5MP macro cam with a depth helper.

The Note 9 Pro will be powered by a Snapdragon 720G chipset with 4/6GB RAM. The chipset will enable ISRO’s NaViC navigation technology on the phone. The phone’s storage options will be at 64GB and 128GB. A 5,020mAh capacity battery is also expected with a charging speed of 18W.

If the leak is accurate, the Redmi Note 9 pro will be an upgrade on the Note 8. However, it will only be a minor upgrade for the budget phone. The Note 8, however, has a slight advantage with its 64MP primary back camera.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro will come in color options like Aurora Blue, Glacier White, and Interstellar Black. So far, there’s been no confirmation on its price point.

While we cannot confirm anything a this time, smartphone leaks are usually very close to the truth.
