According to a recent filing for trademarks that shows restaurant services, it becomes clearer that the tech & electric car wants to offer eatery services. Three years ago Elon tweeted “Gonna put an old school drive-in, roller skates & rock restaurant at one of the new Tesla Supercharger locations in LA,”. on January 7, 2018.

These restaurants will likely be located at the supercharger stations, where Tesla and electric cars are charged before commuting. A single charge takes not less than 45 minutes using a fast charger.

45 minutes waiting time is right about the time to grab a meal, get coffee and use the restroom while waiting for a charging cycle. Interestingly, Tesla’s newest V3 chargers charge the model 3 and Model Y cars at 250W, at half the time of the older generation. Although some of the current superchargers have some form of food services, a restaurant gives that added amenities.

If Gas/petrol stations can have eateries and restaurants, why can’t Electric car charging stations have? Tesla’s Restaurant will be the first among other electric car charging stations such as ChargePoint, Evgo, Electrify, Ecotricity, Gridserve, Blink.

we would need more electric car charging stations to attract Electric cars adoption.
