Spotify is testing a new Stories feature alongside some of its playlists. The feature is very similar to features on Snapchat and Instagram and, recently, Twitter as Fleets
Spotify on Christmas Hits playlist, which features artists like Jennifer Lopez, Kelly Clarkson, and Pentatonix use the stories to share personal anecdotes about the festive period and their songwriting processes.
According to Engadget, stories have also been spotted on the Tear Drop emo-rap playlist, and a version of Megan Thee Stallion’s album, Good News.

Spotify told Engadget that the Stories feature was available but as a test. The company also refused to confirm a wider roll-out of the feature. “At Spotify, we routinely conduct a number of tests in an effort to improve our user experience. Some of those tests end up paving the path for our broader user experience and others serve only as an important learning. We have no further news to share on future plans at this time,” a spokesperson said.
