Specifications and pictures of Lenovo’s first gaming phone, the Lenovo Legion have leaked in promotional videos showing off the device. XDA Developers obtained the videos and specifications from a “trusted” anonymous source.
XDA reports that in late December 2019, Lenovo created a new account called “Legion Gaming Phone” on Chinese social media platform Weibo.
More than a month and a half later, Lenovo officially teased the first smartphone under the Legion gaming brand.
As per the leaked video, we are to look forward to 90W wired fast charging (a slogan claims “30 minutes to 100%”), and an enormous 5,000mAh dual-cell battery.

The Lenovo Legion will also feature at a USB-C charging port, a SIM card tray, and a data port (but no headphone jack) on the bottom. An additional USB-C on the side; speakers in the top, bottom bezel; and a microphone hole on the top are features teased in the video.
The phone will likely feature Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 865 processor, an FS 3.0 internal storage, and LPDDR5 RAM. The screen purportedly has a 2340 x 1080 resolution with a 144Hz refresh rate.
The rear camera is to include a 64MP and a 16MP wide-angle shooter camera, with a front camera of 20MP.
Chen Jin, General Manager of Lenovo China Mobile, had teased that the Legion gaming smartphone will feature a “disruptive new architecture”.
This, he said would have two pain points faced by mobile gamers: different surface temperatures on the left and right sides and reduced charging speeds while gaming.
The teasers had, however, slowed down as most of the world went into strict lockdown guidelines due to COVID-19. So far, there’s no price point or release dates accompanying the rumours.
