Veteran Actress Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde recently slammed a Twitter user who was defending r*pists in her comments. 
In recent years, Nigerians have begun to pay more attention to the reoccurring incidents of r*pe. What was once said in hush is now being spoken of in the open. The recent violent murder of Uwa once again blew the conversation wide open and has expedited some changes in Nigeria laws.
However, some persons are still holding fast unto the culture of victim-blaming. One of such responded to Omotola Jalade Ekeinde’s post on the subject. In her tweet, she was encouraging more r*pe victims to speak up so more perpetrators are brought to book.

The Twitter user then replied that women needed to “de-sexify” their looks.
“That’s a good point. But I want you to emphasize that women should de-sexify which means they should lay less emphasis on appearing s*xy. This is a truth women don’t want to hear. Women are helping to arouse the s*xual demon in men and they go for the most vulnerable for satisfcn”
