Motorola has released its new budget phone, the Moto G9 Plus, in Brazil. The company confirms leaks about its 6.81-inch display screen, a quad-camera setup at the back of the phone, and a 5,000mAh battery.

A Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G powers the Moto G9 Plus. It is also the same chip that powers Google’s new Google Pixel 4A. The moto G9 plus ships with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.

The phone launches with a 6.81-inch screen with FullHD+ Max Vision display with HDR10 support that includes a 1080p display and a 16-megapixel front hole-punch camera on the screen’s upper-left side.

At the back, the quad-camera setup includes a 64-megapixel main sensor, an 8-megapixel wide-angle camera (118° FOV), a 2-megapixel macro sensor, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The phone also includes a side-mounted fingerprint reader, 3.5mm headphone jack, USB-C port, NFC, and Bluetooth 5.0.

The Moto G9 Plus ships in rose gold and indigo blue colors and runs on Android 10. It is also priced at about $470 USD. The price of the phone may however vary across different countries. A recent leak on Orange Slovakia’s website puts the phone’s price in Europe at about $300 USD. The phone looks quite similar to the Samsung Note 20, except for the Motorola logo at the back of the phone.

Motorola has not indicated when it will release the G9 Plus in other markets. However, it may do so quietly seeing that its Brazil release was a bit under the radar.
