Mark Zuckerberg shares upgraded Horizon graphics after viral ugly one

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg has shared an upgraded photo of his avatar in Horizon after his initial graphics went viral for being ‘ugly’.

Once again, the internet proves that regardless of who you are, you want to be accepted. Just days after being trolled for the scrappy graphics that his post showed, Mark Zuckerberg had to show off a better one.

“Major updates to Horizon and avatar graphics coming soon. I’ll share more at Connect,” he had said in the new post. “Also, I know the photo I posted earlier this week was pretty basic — it was taken very quickly to celebrate a launch. The graphics in Horizon are capable of much more — even on headsets — and Horizon is improving very quickly,” he added.

It appears that the point of the initial post was totally ignored, while the PS1-esque graphics got all the attention. The social media boss had been trying to announce that its virtual reality game was now available in two new European countries but the sketchy graphics hid that fact.

“We’re launching Horizon Worlds in France and Spain today! Looking forward to seeing people explore and build immersive worlds, and to bringing this to more countries soon,” Zuckerberg had written.

The updated graphics is quite important as it shows what players would be getting in the new version. Also, by extension, it shows that the Metaverse will look stunning as well.
