Ford’s Electric SUV Mustang Mach-E Joins New York City Yellow Taxis

Ford’s Mustang Mach-E will join New York City bright yellow taxis after, EV startup Gravity gained a license to operate and manage the electric vehicles. This will be the first time, Mach-E will be used as a taxi publicly, with different charging stations by the startup. Tesla already has its Model 3 used for taxis and uber around the United States.

Even Rental company Hertz made an order for 100K Model 3, the highest by another individual company. Gravity is looking to increase its electric vehicle platform for the yellow taxis by adding a fleet of 50 combined Mustang Mach-Es and Tesla Model Ys.

This trim has an estimated range of 300 miles and only ships with an RWD configuration. Next to ship this year is the limited version of the 2020 version the “First Edition.” This trim has an all-wheel-drive configuration with 270 miles of range and 333 horsepower.

They also run the fastest from 0 to 60 miles per hour in less than four seconds. Most of the trims can be heavily customizable, Ford has a configurator for just that. All of these car trims would ship with Ford’s advanced driver assistance system, the CoPilot 360.
