All Apple Stores Across New York City Are Only Open To Pickup Order

Apple is reportedly allowing only pickup for online orders across its New York city stores, after the rising COVID-19 cases in the city.  These stores for now will not welcome customers coming in for browsing, and activations of Apple products.

The tech company is no longer offering its free two hours delivery to customers. This inentive was just for the christmas holidays. The company now has more than 20 stores closed as a result of the pandemic.

Apple is closing more stores in the United States while offering more sales incentives in the process according to reports. Bloomberg claims that it has closed eight stores within the week, because of the growing Omicron virus.

Interestingly it reports says the tech company closes a store when its staffs have 10 percent or more testing positive for COVID-19. Alongside the closure, Apple was offering two-hour delivery in “most metro areas” for free.

The sales incentive only lasted till Christmas Eve, reducing crowds at its various stores and enhance convenience.  Apple is delaying the reopening of its corporate offices. Workers were en route to resume their offices on February 1st, but that isn’t certain anymore.

Apple is constantly monitoring local health data in determining the stores that it will reopen or reclose. All the reopened stores also require that staff and customers wear masks. Since it is closing more stores, the tech company has created faster means of getting their products to customers.

Customers can now only pick up their orders at all New York stores, in a contactless way. If the omicron viruse worsens, we are sure the tech gaint would adopt the same process across all stores in the United States.
