— Roqqu signed an endorsement deal with Asake to promote the brand.
— Health influencer Aproko Doctor and nothern artist Hikima are also ambassadors of the company.

Crypto exchange platform Roqqu has signed a marketing endorsement deal with Afrobeats rave-of-the-moment Asake. The company released a press statement of the deal on October 21, 2022.

In its release, the crypto platform claimed that digital assets adoption among Nigerians between the age of 18 and 60 was at about 70 percent.

“Nigerians now prefer to store their money in digital assets such as cryptocurrencies and NFTs on the blockchain,” it said.

Roqqu further said that it was pushing for increased adoption across all demographics and that is why it is working with the “Terminator” crooner, Asake, whose real name is Ahmed Ololade. The company said that the singer is a good ambassador because of shared values like hard work, excellence and progress.

“I have always set the bar high for myself, but to be a brand ambassador for Roqqu, feels like a new level. The brand is so unconventional, and I am excited to help define what that means to our generation & my fans. I can’t wait to make Roqqu proud,” Asake said about the collaboration.

The platform will use its brand ambassadors to educate fans about the cryptocurrencies and the power of blockchain technology, raising awareness.

“Asake is unconventional, and as a brand, we are unconventional. Just imagine when two unconventional partnerships meet. It is out of this world,” Roqqu CEO Benjamin Eseoghene said. There was no mention of how much the Asake endorsement deal with Roqqu was worth.
