WhatsApp is working on a new ‘quick reply’ feature for web users

WhatsApp is working on a new feature that lets web users quickly reply to messages in one click.

Traditionally, not many people use WhatsApp on their PC or desktop. And most of those who do are likely doing so because they are working with their computer and it is easier to reply messages in the same window.

So, time saving updates will always be welcome.

The new feature brings a reply icon beside the message you want to reply and makes it possible to do in one click, what previously required two. In the leaked image from WABetaInfo, you can just spot the reply button as well as the emoji icon as well.

Replies just got a lot easier

It is still under development and has not been officially confirmed yet. However, from experience, it could soon be made available. The testing forum explained:

“Probably you might be wondering why WhatsApp is not immediately releasing a simple feature like that. When a feature is marked as under development, it may already be ready in some cases, but WhatsApp may need some time to decide if it is really the case to release it to users.”

Couple this announcement with other recent updates and it is clear that the chat platform is upping its game to make it better.
