Social media is the market square of the internet. With little or no restrictions, anyone can say just about anything with no repercussions. This is why trolling has continued to go unchecked.
On Monday, Nigerian artiste Tiwa Savage expressed hurt over a comment of an internet troll. According to the Twitter user, Tiwa Savage only makes music for s*x workers.

However, another user was quick to reply to the troll, bashing her for putting down her fellow Nigerian woman.
Tiwa replied to the fan saying she gets little or no support from Nigerian women who take every opportunity to tear her work and reputation down.
Tiwa Savage also said she sees how the fan base of foreign female artists like Rihanna and Beyonce give them unrivaled support. But on her end, it’s always hate and bitterness.

However, many Nigerians chided her for her statements, reassuring her of their unwavering support. OAP Dotun was amongst the many that rallied behind the star, as he posted an interview revealing Tiwa’ efforts to help Cynthia Morgan.
