Social media company TikTok is currently rolling out Creator Next and tips feature to more creators around the globe. The Creator Next section of its app is a segment for all the company’s monetization functions.

After testing its tipping feature a week ago, the company is now rolling out the feature to more TikTok users. A new feature that allows its users to tip creators directly through their profiles.

There are some requirements to qualify for the new feature. Creators will have to have at least 100,000 followers, be an adult, and agree to TikTok’s tips terms and conditions. Afterwards, they can apply for approval and wait for results.

This will now serve as a way to reward creators for their creativity as over 1 billion users are entertained globally. TikTok also is releasing a “Creator Next” feature where eligible creators can easily unlock new ad existing tools to be rewarded for their creativity.

The social media company is also making it easier for creators to collaborate with brands, through its TikTok Creator Marketplace (TTCM). Creators with over 100,000 followers can sign up for this program and get paid.

TikTok now joins the likes of YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook who pay creators. The social media company initially crafted a $200 million Creator Fund in 2020, where it gave big creators out of that sum.
