Tesla is hiring for its Austin Texas Gigafactory! In July 2020, the company announced its plans to build the new Gigafactory which will house the assembling of its Cybertruck. It will also house the assembling of some of Tesla’s other vehicles, like the Model Y crossover and the Tesla Semi.

The company is not hiring people to assemble its electric vehicles, at least not yet. This time it is looking for skilled individuals who can help it build the actual Gigafactory where all the magic can happen.

The company has vacancies for more than 20 job openings mostly targeted at building the factory. The positions cover construction, engineering, and similar fields, however, there are some openings in the human-resources and customer-service.

After the Gigafactory is built, the company still has a lot of work to get done. CEO, Elon  Musk says the company has over 200,000 orders to fulfill. The projections are that the facility would need around 5,000 people to meet up with the production demands.

Texas is a huge market for pick up trucks like the Cybertruck. The state is particularly favourable to pickups because of its terrain and abundant agricultural produce.

The state in this vein also plays host to several automakers like Toyota and GM. Tesla will be the latest manufacturer to assemble its trucks there. To apply, you can visit the Tesla careers webpage and apply for a suitable opening.
