Superstar American singer Selena Gomez has shared how hard she finds it to get into a stable relationship since her split from Justin Bieber three years ago.

Speaking on Vogue Magazine, Selena said that fame has made it difficult for her to find love. Gomez music

“I can’t meet someone and know if they like me for me. To be honest, I just want to start over. I want everything to be brand-new. I want someone to love me like I’m brand-new.”

She also revealed she sought professional help after her messy split from Bieber because her life was no longer in her control.

In addition, the 28-year-old singer left fans speculating about her music career as she hinted at retirement from the music industry.

“It’s hard to keep doing music when people don’t necessarily take you seriously. I’ve had moments where I’ve been like, ‘What’s the point? Why do I keep doing this?’ ‘Lose You to Love Me’ I felt was the best song I’ve ever released, and for some people, it still wasn’t enough,” she said.

Gomez also talked about her hatred for still being dubbed a “Disney girl”. The singer touched upon her Disney days and was quoted saying, “I still live with this haunting feeling that people still view me as this Disney girl.”

Because she started her career very early with the Wizards of Waverly Place, Gomez says she feels the pressure to be perfect. She added, “That was my job in a way to be perfect. You’re considered a figure kids look up to, and they take that seriously there.

It seems almost impossible not to be, as a performer. Unless you’re like a man? Yeah. I think I spent so many years just trying to say the right thing to people for the sake of keeping myself sane.” She said.

Gomez debuted her first album in 2009 with “Kiss & Tell”, and went on to release three solo albums and two more albums under Selena Gomez & the Scene.
