Samsung will soon launch the world’s first tablet with 5G network capability. The company announced that the Galaxy Tab S6 will soon be available with 5G. This will possibly make it the tablet with the fastest connectivity.

As reported by Sam Mobile, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 5G is listed as ‘coming soon’ on Samsung’s Korean website. Although, the electronics giant has not made an official announcement regarding the device yet.

There’s no information regarding its pricing and cost nor any specification leaks apart from the 5G description at the end of the name.

Samsung also has no timeline, yet, for its release.

The tablet has been in the rumor mills ever since it passed through the Wi-Fi Alliance and Bluetooth SIG.

It is quite possible that the 5G version of the tablet will essentially be a mock-up of the Galaxy Tab S6. The Galaxy Tab S6 was released in September 2019.

The coming tablet allegedly uses the Snapdragon 855 processor, making 5G possible, as long as its paired with the necessary Qualcomm chips.

Huawei is also reportedly working on a 5G tablet, and the company has also not released a timeline for that launch as well.

Galaxy Tab S6 5G Exists

In February 2018, Samsung unveiled its first 5G tablet prototype in partnership with Verizon and Korean telecom giant KT. It was used to demonstrate the capabilities of its experimental networking equipment.

Large-scale 5G deployment may start by early 2020 in some parts of the world according to expectations. In the US, the four national carriers in the U.S. should offer country-wide 5G coverage by 2020, according to recent estimates.

Thanks to a promo on Samsung’s South Korean website, Samsung has confirmed the existence of the Galaxy Tab S6 5G. In addition to that, the support page for the tablet is now online on Samsung’s official website for South Korea although the content is still empty for now.
