Samsung Galaxy S23 Plus could feature 4,700mAh battery new leak claims

Samsung Galaxy S23 Plus is the latest high-end smartphone making rounds in the rumour mill and we’ve just heard that it could feature a 4,700mAh battery.

This new Samsung Galaxy S23 Plus leak is courtesy of a report by The Elec, a Korean electronics industry media outlet.

Of course, we are still a long way from the Samsung Galaxy S23 Plus launch date, which will be sometime in early 2021. However, that has not stopped analysts from speculating about the device.

Recall that Samsung Galaxy S22+ comes with a 4,500mAh battery and a 45W charging capacity. If the rumour turns out to be true, you should expect a longer-lasting device, and likely, the makers could bump up the fast charging capacity to about 55W.

The Elec claims that the company’s battery manufacturing arm, SDI, could leverage its stacking tech to improve the battery capacity of the upcoming device. However, it seems that the improvement is only coming to the Plus version as we heard nothing of the vanilla and Ultra variants.

Meanwhile, a Tom’s Guide report claims that the Samsung Galaxy S23 lineup would feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. Also, the article mentions that the smartphones may be feature more bezels, making the screen to body ratio smaller than that of its predecessor.

For now, we will wait for official reports before we can confirm anything. But, stay tuned to catch the latest leaks as they drop.
