Samsung Announces It’s Foldable Smartphones Sold Aggressively In 2021

Foldable smartphone maker Samsung has announced its Galaxy Z Flip 3 and Z Fold 3 sold aggressively in 2021. Although the company didn’t post any sales figures, it says it sold almost 4x the amount it sold in 2020.

In its blogpost, Samsung says the foldable sales in its first month surpassed “total accumulative sales of Samsung foldable devices in 2020.” Due to its early arrival to the foldabes market, the South Korean company is projected to close to 88 percent of the spoils.

Its foldable are definitely defining the future of smartphone innovation. Although they face fierce competition from the likes of Oppo, and Huwaei for innovative products. The previous version of Samsung’s Z Fold and Flip 3 were plagued by fit and finish hence their low sales.

But the company ha turned things around with its latest offering, and will probably get better with the release of the fourth versions in 2022. Its Infinity Flex Display and UTG enabled the world’s first folding glass display.

Samsung has plans to build more factories in order to push more sales. It will be building a new mega $17 billion chip factory in Texas. The South Korean company aims to boost its chip-making market share with this new factory.

Samsung says that construction of the Taylor factory will begin the next year in 2022 and chip production will begin by 2024. As the pandemic flaunted through the past months. There has been a high demand for data servers, smartphones, and personal computers for remote work. All of which require memory chips to work.
