Motorola Is Updating Its Lackluster Razr 5G Foldable With Third Gen Specs

Motorola seems to developing a third gen flagship foldable to replace its current lacklustre Razr 5G smartphone. This is according to a weibo post by Senior Lenovo executive Chen Jin.

Supposedly to be called the “Razr 3”, this foldable in development should feature a higher flagship processor, better cameras, battery life and software. All of these were seriously lagging on the 2020 released foldable.

Motorola is updating its first-generation Foldable Razr with Android 11. The company announced after the Samsung Flip 3 launched some months ago. This update seems to be only available through the Verizon service provider, the firm says this update would optimize, resolve and secure the Motorola Razr.

Android Motorola Razr updating

Originally, released in 2019 the Razr retail for $1,500 and already has Android 10 in May last year. Most Android smartphone manufacturers have a habit of only supporting only one update after a launch.

Android 12 is already in the beta stage, only flagships from Google, Samsung, and other high-end manufacturers might support the update. Even Motorola’s Razr successor, the 2020 Razr 5G had the Android 11 update before its predecessor.
