Nigerians Call For The Sack Of Minister Of Health Over COVID-19 Hazard Allowance Statements

Nigeria’s Minister of Health, Dr.Osagie Ehanire has come under fire over a viral video where he stated that he is not aware if Doctors and health workers are paid hazard allowance amidst COVID-19.

 

Dr Osagie Ehanire made the statement while giving COVID-19 update at the House of Representatives.

 

Also, the health minister went further to explain that Doctors are doing their standard jobs by screening patients for Coronavirus.

 

However, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila., the Speaker of the House of Representatives was quick to express his displeasure over the statement of the Minister.

 

“You should be aware. It’s not enough to say that you don’t know. Quite honestly you dropped a ball there.” He said.

Meanwhile, Twitter users have expressed their displeasure over this statement made by the Minister of Health and they are calling for his immediate sack or resignation.
