Peter Okoye, a Nigerian singer better known as Mr P, has come through with the visuals for “Karma”, his recently released single. Half of the former twin duo, P Square, Mr P has carved out a more dance-centric music career for himself. As seen in the video below, Mr P adopts far East Asian inspirations for the video of “Karma”.
The setting of Mr P’s “Karma” is a light-filled Asian inspired room with red Chinese paper lanterns hanging from the ceiling. There, Mr P sings about his haters and how your deeds always have a way of coming back at you.
The video, directed by Unlimited LA, features Mr P and a group of dancers in modernised Chinese traditional outfits. The dancers perform martial art-infused dance moves.
The “Karma” video also shows a group of female dancers dressed up as s*xy Japanese geishas. They wave fans and dance to the Afrobeat track.
This is a great follow-up to Mr P’s last track, “One More Night”, in which he featured Afrohouse artiste Niniola. Mr P is certainly putting his newfound creative freedom to good use.
