Julia White, Corporate Vice President (CVP) for Product marketing for Azure, Developer Tools and Servers at Microsoft has today announced her departure from the company. White is the second high-level employee to leave the company recently; with the first being Brad Anderson, CVP for Commercial Management Experiences, who announced his move earlier this week.

White will be joining SAP as the Chief Marketing and Solutions Officer after a 20-year tenure at the Redmond firm. She began her tenure as the Product Manager for the Server division at the company in 2001; and has since held positions in channel marketing, Exchange Server, Office, and Azure. White has held her current role as the CVP for a little more than five years. She says that the decision to leave Microsoft has been “gut-wrenching to say the least”; adding that she is “glad to be heading to a company that works closely with Microsoft”.

Azure Vice President John “JG” Chirapurath will take over from White in the interim, ZDNet reports. Chirapurath has been at the company for around three years in his second stint, having left the company in 2014 post a 10-year tenure.

Nasdaq reports that Julia White will be joining SAP’s executive board alongside Scott Russell, current President of SAP Asia Pacific Japan, who will be replacing Adaire Fox-Martin. As for Microsoft, the company confirmed via a spokesperson to ZDNet that it is conducting an internal and external search for White’s replacement.
