Japanese Wrestler and reality TV show star Hana Kimura has died at the age of 22. According to reports, young Hana may have ended her life after she faced cyberbullying from social media.
She was reportedly found dead in her apartment after she dropped goodbye messages on her social media.
Hana was part of the cast for Netflix’s popular show “Terrace House: Tokyo 2019-2020”, about six strangers “looking for love while living under the same roof”, according to the streaming heavyweights.
Following local media reports from Japan, Hana Kimura’s death came after an onslaught of repeated online bullying for her behavior in the show.
Hana’s last post on Instagram was that of her and her cat which she captioned “I love you, have a long, happy life. I’m sorry.”

Hana was a favorite on the show and was known for her signature pink hair and reserved personality which was a sharp contrast to her persona in the boxing ring.
Since news of her death which was confirmed on Saturday 23rd May broke, messages mourning the demise of the wrestler have been pouring in.
World Ring Stardom, a women’s wrestling league in Japan posted the news on of her death on Twitter with words:
Stardom fans,
We are very sorry to report that our Hana Kimura has passed away.
Please be respectful and allow some time for things to process, and keep your thoughts and prayers with her family and friends.
We appreciate your support during this difficult time.

They also changed their header photo to that of Hana Kimura
American and fellow wrestler Su Yung also said:
“I will always love and miss you, my friend. You are my little sister.”Hana Kimura was 22.
Please let that sink in…22. She had her whole life in front of her.
Online bullying should not be part of life. It damn sure should not be part of death.”
Cyberbullying has been one of the causes of suicide in the last few years and governments around the world are passing into law more stringent punishments to bring offenders to book.
