African Giant Burna Boy was the guest star on The Daily Show with Trevor Noah on Wednesday, 14th August 2019. The “Ye” crooner opened up on the show in ways we did not expect, and it was fun all the way!

On the show, Burna Boy explained the flavour that is Afrofusion music in pizza terms. According to him, Afrobeat is the dough that is essential for any pizza. It is then infused and topped up with different sounds.

He also mentioned his deal with Spotify to launch ‘Burna Bank’. Burna Boy explained the thought process that went into the naming of his new album, African Giant. Not surprisingly, it had to do with the stint surrounding his Coachella performance. Burna Boy also caught Trevor Noah off guard with an interesting story on how he first met him.

At the end of his feature on the show, the African Giant performed a medley of his hit songs “Ye” from his “Outside” album and “Anybody” off his more recent “African Giant” album.
