Huawei Nova 9 SE now available in Nigeria, see why it is a must-have

Huawei Nova 9 SE is finally available in Nigeria, more than six months after its regular version launched in China, and its specs are still tempting. Available on online stores, the smartphone had been paraded as bringing SuperCharge features at its launch, although 66W charging support isn’t all that hot anymore.

Yet, for a device of less than $400, the Huawei Nova 9 SE does bear some high-end specs like its 108MP camera. This is its main feature with the capability to shoot in various modes such as scenery, portraits, architecture, etc. Also, its night capture capabilities are encouraging if you are into mobile phone photography.

Besides this, it has a 120Hz refresh rate OLED display that promises 1B colours and HDR10 capabilities. And while it notably misses out on Google Play Store accessibility, it runs on the company’s own HarmonyOS 2.0 or EMUI 12 for people outside of China. This OS, although not quite the same as Android 12, would perform like it.

At the Nigerian launch, Mr. Fangxiangzhi, Country Manager of Huawei Consumer Business Group, said: “With the launch of HUAWEI nova 9 SE, Huawei is delivering in Nigeria an excellent social photography experience to young users. The nova 9 family is designed to connect Huawei with a younger generation of consumers, and we are glad today to expand our smartphone product portfolio further with the launch of the HUAWEI nova 9 SE. Through powerful hardware updates and operating system integration, the HUAWEI nova 9 SE boasts a staggering 108MP AI Quad Camera system as well as exciting array of vlogging features, offering more ways for users to create engaging videos and ultimately spark new inspirations.”

Obviously, the camera capabilities are the main thing that the company wants to sell, but that should not distract from the fact that it also has a 256GB/8GB RAM offering and runs on Qualcomm SM7325 Snapdragon 778G 4G chipset.

The Huawei Nova 9 SE costs about N185,000 (approximately $320 or less). You can try the Konga store to get one.
