If you happen to have facial hair sprouting from your face, don’t stress about it too much; it’s as common as night and day.
“Almost everyone has some facial hair,” explains April Franzino, GH beauty director. “It tends to be lighter-colored and less coarse than other body hair.”
So it’s not unique to just you. However, facial hair does get in the way of achieving a smooth and clean face. Also, it can be embarrassing especially the chin and sideburns and in the more annoying case; mustache.
However, getting rid of facial hair can be tricky as it’s on your face, hence delicate and even painful to remove.
This is why we’ve sourced and put together some natural and homemade ways can use to get rid of facial hair.
Sugar and Honey Mask
This peel-off mask removes all unwanted hair instantly and perfectly exfoliates dead skin cells
What you’ll need
— 1 tablespoon of honey
— 2 tablespoons of sugar
— 1 cup of water
Preparation
Put the sugar into a bowl and add honey and water to it. Place the mixture in the microwave for about 30 seconds up until the sugar dissolves and mixes with the liquids.
How to apply
Smear a portion of the paste to the parts of your face with unwanted hair. Place a piece of cloth over the applied mixture and let it cool for a couple of seconds. Pull the cloth str*p in the opposite direction your hair is growing. Repeat until you’ve gotten rid of all unwanted hair.

Egg and Cornstarch Mask
Egg whites and cornstarch mix form a firm mask that sticks to your facial hairs and pulls them out as good as any store-purchased wax. This works for all skin types except acne-prone and sensitive ones.
What you’ll need
— 1 egg
— 1/2 tablespoon of cornstarch
— 1 tablespoon of sugar
Preparation
Crack an egg, separate the yolk and pour the white into a bowl. Add sugar and cornstarch to it and stir the ingredients well to form a smooth paste.
How to apply
Apply the paste to your face and let it dry for about 20-25 minutes. Once the paste is caked and well in place, peel off an edge and proceed to rip it off. Repeat two to three times a week for best results.
Papaya and Tumeric
Papaya contains an enzyme called papain that breaks down the cuticle of human hair and causes it to fall out naturally.
Ingredients
— 1 raw papaya
— 1/2 teaspoon of turmeric powder
Preparation
Peel off the back of the papaya and cut into small chunks. Mash the pieces to make a paste. Mix the papaya paste with turmeric powder.
How to apply
Smear the paste to the parts of your face with unwanted hair. Rotate the balls of your finger on your skin gently then let the mask sit for 15-20 minutes. Wash it off with warm water. Repeat two times a week for best results.
