Firefox rolls out new View panel feature for tabs

Firefox, the alternative browser, rolled out a new View feature as part of the release of version 106. This new feature allows you to see all the recently closed and open tabs on your devices.

According to the company, you can see up to 25 recently closed tabs and the panel hides the Firefox logo in the top-left corner of your browser. In addition, it works across multiple devices as well, as long as you are signed in to your Firefox account.

Typically, it syncs devices and will have a Tab pickup section that shows a list of the open tabs you have across your devices.

The new view is not the only thing that Firefox is announcing as it also debuted a shortcut that makes it easier and faster to open private browsing mode. The feature allows you to pin a private browsing shortcut to your desktop and open it with one click, instead of using keyboard shortcut or navigating through menus after you open the browser.

Additionally, the new shortcut shows the privacy icon beside the Firefox logo, to allow you tell which one you are using at a particular time. As usual, the browser company says that private mode ensures that your browsing history is not saved and cookies are deleted immediately you close the browser.

It is ironic that the two key features of Firefox 106 do not work with each other. The View panel cannot work in the new private mode shortcut.
