Tesla CEO Elon Musk has removed bitcoin from his Twitter bio. The world’s richest man had put #Bitcoin in his bio last week, affecting the price of the cryptocurrency and causing its price to jump up.

Musk again then posted a series of Dogecoin-related tweets. The Tesla and SpaceX CEO simply tweeted, ‘Doge’ and a few minutes later, he wrote: “Dogecoin is the people’s crypto”. “No highs, no lows, only Doge,” Musk wrote in a separate tweet.

He had previously tweeted about Dogecoin several times. However, last week, he said he “occasionally” makes “jokes about Dogecoin”. “They are really just meant to be jokes, but you know Dogecoin was made as a joke to make fun of cryptocurrencies obviously, but fate loves irony and often as a friend of mine says that the most ironic outcome or I’d say the most entertaining outcome and the most ironic outcome would be that Dogecoin becomes the currency of earth in the future,” he had said.

Elon Musk had also commented on bitcoin. He said: “I think bitcoin is really on the verge of getting broad acceptance by sort of the conventional finance people”. Musk said that many of his friends have tried to convince him in the past to buy bitcoin, but he is “late to the party”. He said he should have bought some bitcoin in 2013 when one of his friends introduced the cryptocurrency at the time.
