Gamers have been getting teased for a while now with trailers of an upcoming game. The game, called Death Stranding, was first announced in 2016.
The game, which is a first from game highly-respected creator Hideo Kojima, will finally be released on 8th November 2019. A trailer has now been revealed to give depth into how the game is played and show the graphical prowess of the game.
The game’s main character, Sam, is played by Norman Reedus of “The Walking Dead.” The new video also demonstrates the bigger story and clarifies the gameplay of the game.
Kojima, at the Tribeca Film Festival held in May, spoke on the game, “Death Stranding.” He said,
“The player will have to reconnect the world in the game. You’re very alone and solitude feeling as well, but you’re trying to connect. The story and the gameplay: the keyword is ‘connection’. There are so many things in between, of course, but the key is connection.”
According to this latest trailer, the user will play as the hero, Sam. The main goal of the game is to attempt to reconnect separated communities across America. The death standing had happened, and it is a mysterious force that invisibly kills people and animals. You now have the sole responsibility of figuring out what is going on and save the world from the chaos.
The legendary game maker explained in a recent blog post,
“Death Stranding is a completely new type of action game, where the goal of the player is to reconnect isolated cities and a fragmented society. It is created so that all elements, including the story and gameplay, are bound together by the theme of the ‘Strand’ or connection.”
Kojima is also the creator of 2015’s “Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.” Death Stranding is the first game he released since then, and it already looks like a massive hit.
The game will exclusively be available on PlayStation 4. It also features major Hollywood stars as main characters. Norman Reedus, Mads Mikkelsen and Lindsay Wagner are some of the stars in the game. Others include Lea Seydoux, Troy Baker and Guillermo Del Toro.
