A newly-released list published by gaming analysts suggests that Mortal Kombat 11 is topping the charts. The list of best-selling video games was based on data collected between 7th April and 4th May 2019. The data also includes digital and physical sales figures in the United States.
The game made the list at the best-selling game of the month as it leads sales on all platforms. PlayStation 4’s exclusive games “Days Gone” and “MLB 19: The Show” came in the second and third positions respectively. Meanwhile, “Kingdom Hearts III” has taken the top position of the best-selling games so far in 2019.
Based on the data, video game sales generated $427 million in revenue. Sony’s PlayStation 4, Microsoft’s Xbox One and Nintendo’s Switch also top the list as the three major best-selling consoles.
“Mortal Kombat 11”, however, made the news as the first game to top sales charts on the three major consoles in over 10 years.
The last game that reportedly made this feat was “Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock” in October 2007. The game ended, becoming the best-selling game of the year.
