The trailer for “King Richard”, a biopic on Venus and Serena William’s father Richard Williams starring Will Smith is here.The Reinold Greene directed film shows Smith as a tenacious father, determined to push his daughters to reach their full potentials as extraordinary athletes.

Describing Smith character in the synopsis, Warner Bros says he’s “an undeterred father” with a “relentless drive and unapologetic vision to change the game” who is “instrumental in raising two of the most extraordinarily gifted athletes of all time, who will end up changing the sport of tennis forever.”

Sharing the trailer to his Instagram, Will Smith described playing Richard Williams in “King Richard” as an honor.

“One of the greatest honors as an actor is to be able to celebrate someone’s legacy while they’re still here creating it. I’ve gotten to do it a few times in my career playing @ceoofhappyness and @muhammadali, and every time it’s a fulfilling and expansive experience beyond compare”

“King Richard” will premiere in American cinemas on November 19. Its HBO release will follow on  December 20th 2021.
