What’s New About The Latest Desktop Opera Version, Opera 69?

The popular third-party web browser, Opera has announced that its latest version for desktops comes with an in-built Twitter button. Besides the Twitter addition, Opera 69 comes with other appealing features that we will reveal in this article.

 

The company says that it decided to launch the Twitter button on its latest browser version after a poll it ran in the US. According to its poll; 62% of its users agreed that they would like a Twitter button to easily access the social media platform.

 

It also mentions that using Twitter directly from Opera gives you an added advantage. Thus, with this new browser, you can easily access your Twitter main feed, the search function, send DMs, and also receive notifications directly.

 

With its recent addition of Twitter to its browser interface, Opera now provides you with quick access to some of the most widely used social media platforms. You can use your Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp, Instagram, Telegram and now Twitter directly from it.

This removes the need of entering the website in the search bar and it can keep you logged in. Here is a video highlighting some of its new features:

 

 

Additionally, Opera 69 is bringing a new weather widget on the browser’s start page. While it is set to Oslo by default, you can personalise it for your location as well. It brings improved visual tab cycler as well. This means that when you tap ctrl + tab, you will see more tabs in larger tiles as well.

 

Another major improvement that Opera 69 brings is the Workspace tool. This tool was made to enable you group tabs by the context you use them in. In the new version of the browser, it will notify you if you open a link in a different Workspace; of if you move a webpage between Workspaces.

 

Opera 69 is available for download on Windows, macOS, and Linux.
