In a post on his Instagram, the House of Play boss shared he’s acquired the rights to make a full length film of the robbery king-pin.

Ogun State-born Shina Rambo, real name Oluwasina Oluwagbemi and his gang were notorious for carrying out deadly robbery attack in their heydays. They terrorised towns in the South-West of Nigeria, eluding police net with famed fetish means.

In 2018, a man, Matthew Oluwanifem resurfaced claiming to be famous Shina Rambo. He also claimed to have repented and is now a Pastor. Charles Okpaleke says a conversation with the alleged Shina Rambo inspired him to make his next film.

“I sat down for 3 hours and listened to a former bandit and armed robbery kingpin who terrorised Southwest Nigeria in the 90s. Though he’s now a pastor preaching the gospel, his story was intriguing. I decided to acquire the Intellectual property rights to his story and make it an action-packed feature film. His name is Shina Rambo”.
