The Met Gala —unarguably the biggest and starriest American fashion event– took place in New York on September 13 2021 and as usual, it’s been the talk of the globe as many debates the fashion offerings it presented.
Originally inaugurated to raise funds for the Museum of Art’s Costume Institute, the event did not hold last year due to the raging pandemic.
However, after the one year break, the Met Gala 2021 brought everything we ever imagined and more. The event which sees stars from every echelon of life take the red carpet was hosted by pop star Billie Eilish, Tennis superstar player Naomi Osaka, actor Timothée Chalamet and poet Amanda Gorman.
As is the culture with every Met Gala, this year’s theme was “In America: A Lexicon of Fashion.” The fashion was inspired by everything in Matrix Franchise to the Statue of Liberty.
