TestGrid, an app testing destination, launches today

TestGrid is a platform that allows developers test websites and apps across browsers and operating systems. The company was founded in 2016 by Harry Rao, a developer.

In a statement to TechCrunch, the startup has reached 20,000 on its public cloud, and it offers 200 minutes of free testing time every month.

TestGrid offers a place for developers to test their app and website user interface as well as performance metrics like battery drainage, CPU usage, data usage, speed, and more on different device and browser combinations. Also, they can test integration to see that the UI and API sync as expected. In addition, the platform offers security vulnerabilities testing.

Already, it has a clientele that ranges from startups to Fortune 500 companies. Their service cover all orts of industries including banking, financial services and insurance, e-commerce, manufacturing, logistics and healthcare.

In two examples, the company’s CEO described how its platform helped a client (a gas and electric company) to optimize their entire software architecture and another client (a large clothing e-commerce company) to keep track of all feedback and development cycles.

Its competitors in the app and website testing business include LambdaTest, BrowserStack and Kobiton. However, it claims to have an edge because it offers all its testing features at a cheaper rate.

“We help users reduce their testing budget by cutting down on different platforms and just subscribing to the TestGrid platform alone and that no other testing platform does,” Rao said in a statement.
