Jade Stanley is the owner of a s*x doll business. But her services are like no other. She offers a special loneliness package where people can get replicas of their dead partners.

 

35 years old and a mother of four, Jade launched her official s*x doll business in 2018. She sells dolls that can be custom designed for her customer’s specific needs. She spoke on a British breakfast show called This Morning on ITV channel in the UK.

 

 

On the show, she explained how the service worked and where they create the deceased partner replicas. She said people had contacted her to ask for the dolls of their dead partners.

 

Jade said, “Loneliness is a massive issue in the UK, and I think one of the most surprising aspects of this industry for me, is really it’s not all seedy and s*xual. It really isn’t.”

 

‘I’ve had lots of customers who genuinely come to me and they want a doll for comfort purposes only. I think that’s fantastic,” she added.

 

She said she feels fulfilled being able to provide comfort to someone in the time of need. Jade said it surprises her when people look down on the industry.

 

Loneliness and s*x dolls

“That has definitely surprised me because I know a lot of people look upon this industry and see it as seedy or it’s just all pornographic, but it really isn’t,” Jade explained.

 

 

She said, “Every single day that I go into work, I get requests for certain dolls and I find the customers they open up and explain the reasons why. And I genuinely believe they are for comfort reasons. The majority of them are.”

 

Speaking on privacy and safety, Jade said, “We’re very careful about that. You have to have permission if you want to make somebody the exact lookalike of somebody.”

 

She also brought one of the s*x dolls with her called Amelia which she calls basic. “It can all be different requests though; tattoos, different colour hair, eye colour, shapes, sizes, different variations of dolls,” she said.

 

The s*x dolls come at different prices. A basic one like Amelia will cost about ₦592,500 (£1,295). Meanwhile, the customised dolls range between ₦1.3 million (£3,000) and ₦2.3 million (£5,000).

 

This just goes to show how much technology and Artificial Intelligence is piercing the space of intimacy.
