Nigerian songbird Simi is hardly ever one to call out anyone on social media. So imagine the surprise her fans and followers experienced when she called out a popular Pastor on his relationship and marriage-based sermon.

The popular Lagos pastor, called Pastor Kingsley, is known for his messages on relationships and marriages, and definitely has a wide audience.

However, Simi found a default in one of his viral videos. She then called him out for what she believed was a one-sided message about marriage. To her, his message gave the impression that it was only the woman who had the desire to get married. She admonished him to desist from such messages since he has a lot of followers.

Pastor Kingsley defended his sermon and explained that it was not one-sided.

“I get you but my message is quite clear… It hasn’t demeaned anybody or put all the responsibility on one s*x, I can’t interpret for everyone o,” he replied.

The two went ahead to delete their tweets.
