Sony has announced its PlayStation Plus Collection for PS5, describing it as ‘a new PlayStation Plus benefit for PlayStation 5’. The collection contains ‘generation-defining’ PS4 games available for download at the launch of the new PS5.

 

The collection contains classics like Uncharted 4, God of War, The Last of Us: Remastered, Bloodborne, third-party titles like Batman Arkham Knight, Fallout 4, Mortal Kombat X, and more.

 

PS5 owners will be able to download and play these games directly as the PlayStation Plus Collection is not a streaming service. Sony says the entire collection will be available when the PS5 launches on 12th November November.

 

PlayStation CEO Jim Ryan said in an interview with The Washington Post said that the new console is “99 percent” backward compatible with the PS4 games the company has tested on it so far. Sony said it believed the ‘overwhelming majority’ of PS4 games would be backward compatible with the PS5 in March 2020.

— Persona 5

— Until Dawn

— Resident Evil: Biohazard

 

Sony revealed the PlayStation 5’s price and release date with two variants which to be available by 12th November 2020. An all-digital version of the console will retail $399 and the one with a disc drive will retail for $499 plus Sony’s six launch titles will be available at release.
