Nollywood actress Ruth Kadiri has sent out a note of warning to celebrities as the 2023 general elections draw near.
The Edo-state born actress stated that she is waiting to see celebrities who will endorse recycled politicians who have remained in power for years.
Ruth explained that she will leave no stone unturned to drag such entertainers, who she described as “Desperate and hungry”. She also ensured to use a very direct caption to pass across her message
“With all due respect, don’t be a f*cking sell out. Thank you.🙏🏽” She wrote.

This will not be the first time a celebrity will publicly denounce their support for politicians. In October 2020, actress Iyabo Ojo also took to Twitter to state that she will no longer support candidates of any political party.
Iyabo stated that she is not going back on her words even if the candidate is her family member or friend. The beautiful mother and entrepreneur stated that we need to stop recycling politicians in Nigeria.
Iyabo Ojo who in the company of other actresses were present at the Alausa #EndSARS protest ground took to her tweet page to express her displeasure as regards bad governance in the country.
Meanwhile, In November Iyabo revealed on Instagram revealed she is facing threats after her decision not to support any political party.
The mother of two stated that she woke up to a friend’s message that said her name was mentioned somewhere. The message also stated that “smart celebrities do not take on the government, as such she should calm down”.
Iyabo ended her caption with the question “Are we now threatened to silence?”
