Kannywood actress Rahama Sadau has bowed to pressure and has now apologised to the Muslim community over her controversial backless photo.Sadau had posted a photo of herself on her Instagram and Twitter in a beige gown, with a plunging back, showing off her curves with her hair uncovered.
The photos immediately drew heavy backlash from northern Muslims who criticised her for disrespecting their religion. Rahma after some hours deleted the photos but it didn’t stop the harsh criticisms from pouring in unabated.

She has now released a video, saying she apologises to the entire Muslim community for the offending photo. In the video, she was clad in full hijab, perhaps to further convey her contriteness and remorse.
The video delivered in Hausa translated into:
“I made this video out of remorse and frustration. I also apologize for what happened to all Hausas, my colleagues, and Muslims in general for this picture of mine that caused this controversy.” she said

“This is not my nature as a Muslim. I am a lover of the Prophet (pbuh), and I fight anyone who touches him or touches my religion. It was a fate that brought someone to insult me over my picture. It will not happen to me again, God willing.”
