In this film, a Nigerian- American man is planning to propose to his girlfriend while she is having dinner at his place, however, things take a turn for the worst when his ex-girlfriend unexpectedly shows up. This results in a series of events that may eventually destroy his relationship.

“Dinner at my place” is a nice romantic movie with very funny scenes. Bisola Aiyeola brought her A game to the movie with her funny mannerisms and acting. She did a good job in portraying the angry ex who is jealous that her ex-boyfriend has moved on and will be giving a diamond ring to his new girlfriend.

Also, Timini Egbuson and Sophia Alakija showed us good chemistry as they played the love birds in the movie. Although the storyline was cool, the film itself was so predictable. The relationship between Cynthia and Timini’s friend was rather a cliche and unnecessary. The producer of the film may as well have concentrated on the main act and storyline.

“Dinner at my place” may not have a deep story line, but it’s a feel-good movie that every member of the family will enjoy watching.
