Satan Shoes by Lil Nas X and MSCHF are Nikes containing human blood

The shoes designed like the Nike Air Max 97 was released March 29th sold out all 666 pairs within hours. The design features a pentagram – a symbol of Satanism – and each shoe contains “one drop” of human blood in the sole according to MSCHF.

The shoes also feature a reference to bible verse Luke 10:18 on the side, which says: “He replied, ‘I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven”. It sells $1018, also referencing the Bible verse.

Nike had first released a statement distancing itself from the shoes.

The sportswear corporation has now filed a lawsuit against MSCHF.  Nike says the “Satan shoe” was made without the company’s “approval or authorization.” It adds that the shoe is “likely to cause confusion and dilution and create an erroneous association between MSCHF’s products and Nike,” and that the shoe has already caused “significant harm to [Nike’s] goodwill, including among consumers who believe that Nike is endorsing satanism.”

“In fact, there is already evidence of significant confusion and dilution occurring in the marketplace, including calls to boycott Nike in response to the launch of MSCHF’s Satan Shoes, based on the mistaken belief that Nike has authorised or approved this product.” the suit filed states.
